The reason why The Breakfast Club remains in my top three favorite movies of all time despite the fact that it was all filmed in basically one location is that it does such a good job of showing character development.  Every character in the movie is a specific stereotype, the jock, the criminal, the princess, the nerd, and the basket case.  These students who seem as if they don’t have anything do to with each other begin to confide and show sides beyond their appearance, and after serving detention, the students are “cured” of their stereotypes.
